hdc = half double crochet
1 ch-picot = Chain 1, slip stitch into the base of the chain to form a picot.

dec = decrease (join the next 2 stitches into 1)
slst = slip stitch
st = stitch
ch = chain
FO = finish off/fasten off
FLO = Front loops only
BLO = Back loops only
[ ] = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row
( ) x 6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated
